What is the verb?
Verb
کسی شخص یا چیز کے بارے میں کچھ بتاتا ہے۔ یہ ایک یا ایک سے زیادہ الفاظ پر مشتمل ہوتا ہے اور کسی
ملکیت کے بارے میں بتاتا ہے۔ possession حالت یا state of being or condition کام کرنا ( action )

Action
- Ali plays hockey.
- The wind is blowing.
- She will appear soon.
- The problem was solved.
State of being Condition
- Her mood seems good.
- The earth is round.
- The pitch looks nice.
Possession
- Aslam has a bungalow and a car.
- Animals usually have four legs.
- I have nothing in my pocket.

- Base form:
بغیر کسی اضافے اور ترمیم کے اپنی اوریجنل حالت میں
وغیرہ sing, work, catch کہلائی جاتی ہےجیسے base form کی verb
- Infinitives:
کہا جاتا ہے، infinitives کا اضافہ کیا جائے تو انکو to سے پہلے اگر Base form
وغیرہ۔ to sing, to work, to catch جیسے
- Bare infinitives:
کہلاتے ہیں۔ bare infinitives سے اگر to ہٹا دیا جائے تو یہ Infinitives
plural اگر subject میں Simple Present Tense ایک ہی چیز ہے۔ bare infinitives اور Base form
میں استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ base form اپنی verb ہو تو
- They play football.
- Girls usually play with dolls.
- Present Participle:
بن جاتا ہے جن کا استعمال Present Participle کا اضافہ کرنے سے ing میں Base Form
میں ہوتا ہے۔ continuous tenses
:جیسے
He is singing, She has been playing, They were caught.
- Past Form:
بن جاتی ہے۔ Past Form کا اضافہ کرنے سے “ed یا d” میں Base Form کی Verb
وغیرہ۔ Received سے Receive , Played سے Play جیسے
استعمال ہوتے ہیں۔ ان کا استعمال جملوں کو letters کی صورت میں دوسرے Irregular Verb
وغیرہ۔ He played cricket, She worked at home, بنانے میں ہوتا ہے۔ جیسے Past Tense
- Past Participle:
“ed یا d”میں base form کی verb بنانے کے لیے Past Participle
بنائی جاتی ہے۔ Past Form کی verb کا اضافہ کیا جاتا ہے جس طرح
کے۔ irregular verbs میں کوئی فرق نہیں ہوتا ہےسوائے past participle form اور past form عام طور پر
کی verb میں بنانے کے لیے Perfect Tense جملوں کو
لگائے جاتے ہیں has, have, had استعمال کی جاتی ہے اور اس سے پہلے past participle form
- He has played hockey.
- They have violated the law.
- She had completed the work at home.
- Gerund:
بنتا ہے Gerund کے طور پر استعمال کرنے سے noun لگانے سے اور “ing” کے آگے Base form
- Acting is an art.
- Good reading leads to good writing.
