Noun Definition, Kinds Of Noun In Urdu With Examples

Why do we need to learn English Grammar? Every language has certain rules which explain how the words are formed and how they are grouped to make meaningful sentences. Since English is the de facto official language and Urdu is the language of common people in Pakistan, we need to learn English Grammar in Urdu.

Grammar is defined as the set of rules that explains how the words are put together to make a sentence. It is the study of words and the ways words work together. So we have to understand the parts of speech if we want to learn English Grammar. Here, we will explain in Urdu each part of the speech. This will help you to learn English from Urdu.

Noun

 کسی بھی شخص، جگہ یا چیز کے نام کو کہتے ہیں۔ Noun

Nouns refer to persons, animals, places, things, ideas, events, etc.

OR:

A noun is a word that identifies:

• a person (woman, boy, doctor, neighbor)
• a thing (dog, building, tree, country)
• an idea, quality, or state (truth, danger, birth, happiness).

وغیرہ وغیرہ۔ Aslam,  Pakistan, Mountain, River, Flower:جیسے

:کی مندرجہ ذیل بہت سی اقسام ہیں Noun

• Proper and Common Nouns

کہتے ہیں۔ Common Noun ایک ہی قسم کی چیزوں کے نام کو

A common noun is a noun that refers to people or things in general.

:جیسے

وغیرہ وغیرہ۔ man, woman, boy, girl, house, country, mountain, sea, country

 کہتے ہیں۔ Proper Nounجبکہ مخصوص اشخاص، جگہوں اور چیزوں کے نام کو

:جیسے

وغیرہ وغیرہ۔ Aslam, Rani, Waheed, Neelam, Governor House, Humalya mountain, Arabian Sea, Pakistan

 کا استعمال کرتے ہیں man, woman, boy, girl جب ہم

کہلاتا ہے۔ Common Noun کی طرف ہوتا ہےاس ہی لیےیہ  man, woman, boy, girl تو اشارہ کسی بھی

کہتے ہیں Aslam, Rani, Waheed, Neelam لیکن جب ہم

کہلاتے ہیں۔ Proper Noun اور یہ man, woman, boy, girl  تو ہم ان ہی میں سے کچھ مخصوص افراد کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہیں

ہے common noun ایک mountain اس ہی طرح

ہے۔ proper noun ایک Himalaya مگر ایک مخصوص پہاڑ

ہیں۔ proper nouns بھی، Governor House, Arabian Sea, Pakistan

 

• Countable and Uncountable Nouns

کہا جاتا ہے ۔ Countable Noun جنہیں تعداد میں شمار کیا جا سکتا ہے noun ایسے

Countable nouns (or count nouns) are those that refer to something that can be counted.

four men, three flowers, a  lion,  two buildings, three liters, and five plans:جیسے

بھی ہوتی ہے plural form ان کی noun میں بتائی جا سکتی ہے جیسے اوپر دیے ہوے  numberکی مقدار Countable Nouns

 لگایا جاتا ہے۔ s یا  es بنانے کے لیے plural یعنی 

کا استعمال کیا جاسکتا ہے۔ a, an, the یعنی articles لگایا جا سکتا ہے۔ان کے ساتھ  this/that یا  these/those ان کے ساتھ

Uncountable Noun:

کہا جاتا ہے Uncountable Noun جنہیں شمار نہیں کیا جا سکتا noun ایسے

اگرچہ  انکی مقدار  پیمائش کے یونٹ میں بتائی جا سکتی ہے

Uncountable nouns (or mass nouns) do not typically refer to things that can be counted and so they do not regularly have a plural form.

ہم انہیں شمار نہیں کر سکتے۔ beauty, bravery ہیں جیسے uncountable noun اس ہی طرح قدرتی خوبیاں بھی

 one beauty, three bravery:  جیسے

Pluaral کا اضافہ کرکے es یا S نہیں بنتی۔ یعنی Pluaral form میں استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔ انکی Singular Form انہیں صرف

نہیں بنایا جاسکتا۔

اور ایسی دوسری اشیاٰٰء rice, metals, gold   اس کی مثال ہیں some, much, a liter, a kilo جیسے

ہم یہ نہیں کہ سکتے۔ give me one rice, give me one gold, give me one milk

• Abstract and Concrete Nouns

کہلاتے ہیں۔ Abstract Noun جنہیں ہم چھو نہیں سکتے Noun ایسے

An abstract noun is a noun that refers to ideas, qualities, and conditions – things that cannot be seen or touched and things that have no physical reality.

Examples:

• Actions: Attack, Defense, Triumph
• Qualities: Breadth, Bravery, Talent
• States: Youth, Old, Poverty
• Feelings: Curiosity, Sorrow

کہلاتے ہیں۔ Concrete Noun جنہیں ہم چھو سکتے Noun  ایسے

A concrete noun is a noun that refers to people and to things that exist physically and can be seen, touched, smelled, heard, or tasted.

Examples:

• Mountain, Sea, River, Hand
• Book, Dog, Nose

• Possessives

کا اضافہ کرنے سے بنتی ہے۔ S کی علامت لگانے اور   (‘) apostrophe ناؤن کے بعد possessive form کی Noun

اور اس کا مطلب “کا” ہوتا ہے

جس کےمعنی “کریم کا پین” ہے۔ “Karim’s   pen” :جیسے

کےلگے گی۔ s کی علامت بغیر apostrophe پلورل  یعنی ایک سے زیادہ ہے تو صرف noun اگر

جس کے معنی “کتابوں کی حالت” ہے۔ “Book’s condition” :جیسے

لگے گا ۔ s کی علامت کے بعد apostrophe موجود نہیں ہے تو s  کے آخر میں plural noun اور اگر کسی

• His feet’s condition was bad.

اس کے پاؤں کی حالت خراب تھی۔

• Collective Nouns

  ،کہلاتا ہے Collective Noun جو  اشخاص اور چیزوں کے گروپ کو  ایک یونٹ کے طور پر پیش کرے noun ایسا

وغیرہ team, class, committee, family, flock, herd :جیسے

،استعمال ہوتا ہے singular عام طور پر Collective Noun

• The South African cricket team is reaching Karachi today.
• A Meeting of the committee was in the process.
• My family is departing for Lahore this evening.

• Masculine and Feminine Nouns

انگریزی میں مذکّرسے مؤنث بنانے کے کئی طریقے ہیں۔

There are many ways to make Masculine and feminine in Engish.

 

• کے لیے بالکل ہی مختلف لفظ Feminine
• کے اضافے سے ess-
• لگا کر۔ “ ess”ہٹا کر اور vowel کا آخری Masculine

 بنانا سب سے زیادہ عام ہے۔ feminine لگا کر ess- آییے تینوں کو باری باری دیکھتے ہیں۔ ان میں

• Singular and Plural Nouns

کہلاتا ہے، Singular Noun جو ایک شخص یا چیز کو ظاہر کرتا ہے Noun

وغیرہ ۔ Pen,  Pencil,  Copy,  Bag :جیسے

A singular noun names one person, place, thing, or idea.

وغیرہ۔ Pens,  Pencils,  Copies, Bags:کہلاتا ہے۔ جیسے  Plural Noun ایک سے زیادہ اشخاص اور چیزوں کو ظاہر کرے

A plural noun names more than one person, place, thing, or idea.

plural اس طرح noun لگائیں مگر انگریزی میں تمام “s” کے آخر میں noun بنانے کا سب سے آسان طریقہ یہ ہے کہ plural کو Noun

بناۓ جا سکتے ہیں plural اس طرح noun  نہیں بناۓ جا سکتے ہیں۔ البتہ کچھ

لگا کر”s“ کے آخر میں Noun
